Job summary

Chugach Electric Association in Anchorage, AK seeks a Manager, Safety to lead the ongoing development of the safety program, ensuring regulatory compliance and implementing training, field inspections, and hazard controls. The role partners with management to enhance safety culture and minimize risk across operations.

The position requires CSP/CIH within one year, five years of relevant safety experience, and a valid Alaska driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible safety experience, including supervision.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CIH required within one year; Alaska driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement safety programs and training to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage, maintain, and improve safety programs and incident prevention.
• Partner with management to assess and improve company safety initiatives.
• Assist supervision with accident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Interface with regulators and coordinate with safety authorities on compliance.
