Job summary

Amazon in Minnesota is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, audits, and risk assessments at the Shakopee site. You will combine data-driven strategies with human-centered solutions to protect associates and sustain productivity.

As safety champion, you’ll train teams, investigate incidents, and advocate for wellbeing, while collaborating with leadership to embed best practices, emergency readiness, and continuous improvement across the operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with OSHA and other health and WHS regulatory requirements.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues in the workplace.
• A minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR; A Bachelor’s degree in EHS-relevant background OR; 6 months experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety programs through data-driven strategies and lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and partner with leadership to embed safety best practices.
• Transform safety data into compelling narratives to influence positive change and drive engagement in safety initiatives.
• Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.
