Job summary

Batten Asset Management Company (BAMCo) is seeking a Safety Manager in Omaha, NE to lead safety policy development, risk reduction, and training across locations. You will oversee audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance to foster a culture of safety and accountability.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in safety/EHS, strong communication and leadership skills, and proficiency with training records and incident reporting systems. Some travel to company sites is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in occupational health, safety management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in safety management or EHS.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and industry safety standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to conduct engaging and effective safety training sessions.
• Proficient in using technology to manage training records, audits, and incident reports.
• Clean driving record and ability to travel to BAMCo locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies across BAMCo operations.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses to mitigate risks.
• Lead safety training programs for new hires and current employees.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions.
• Maintain records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other safety regulations.
• Collaborate with shop managers and leadership to drive safety improvements.
• Lead initiatives for continuous safety process improvement.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and internal reporting.
