Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with corporate safety standards and support project staff in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves developing safety programs, conducting training, and performing regular safety inspections. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of safety experience, strong communication skills, and an OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation. This is a full-time traveling position.

Qualifications

• Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills essential.
• Minimum of 3 years safety experience or relevant education required.
• Familiarity with safety/environment principles and techniques is necessary.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation is required.
• An OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer certification is a plus.
• Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the project safety program.
• Conduct jobsite orientation for new employees.
• Attend meetings to define roles within the safety program.
• Conduct pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance through regular safety meetings.
• Facilitate training for site personnel.
• Maintain records of safety meetings and inspections.
• Review subcontractors' safety programs for compliance.
• Investigate incidents and generate reports.
