Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, oversee compliance, and promote a strong safety culture across telecom and low voltage construction environments.

The role involves site inspections, incident investigations, safety training, and collaboration with field operations to drive continuous safety improvements. Location: Richmond area; schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM start; travel not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within construction, telecom, or related industries.
• Experience in construction environments with field safety practices.
• OSHA regulations knowledge and construction safety standards.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certification required; BCSP/CSP/ASP/CHST certifications preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to deliver safety training and communicate with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Identify workplace conditions that could result in accidents, injuries, or financial loss.
• Evaluate potential risks and determine injury severity.
• Develop accident prevention and loss control programs to support safety objectives.
• Coordinate safety initiatives to ensure consistent implementation across operations.
• Compile, analyze, and report safety metrics for leadership.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks with field personnel.
