Medcor seeks a seasoned Construction Supervisor to join the Construction Health & Safety team in Hartford, CT. You will oversee on-site coordination of contractors and subcontractors, ensure work meets quality standards, and maintain the project schedule under the Project Manager's guidance.
The role requires leading planning with clients and design professionals, managing budgets, enforcing safety standards, and resolving field issues to minimize delays.
This position is a key team member of the Medcor's Construction Health & Safety team and serves to oversee and coordinate various aspects of the construction project for our client. This role involves supervising each contractor and/or subcontractor to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to the project schedule. This position acts as an onsite support role for our client’s Project Manager.
Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability to perform basic word processing and generate spreadsheets as necessary. Also, access and use the Internet and E-mail.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to stand, bend, squat, sit demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see. On occasion, may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus.
