Job summary

Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, seeks a Safety Professional to identify hazards on Construction and General Industry sites and communicate with crews and management to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities include auditing crews, maintaining training records, implementing safety programs, and preparing incident reports for DEN Airport construction projects. Must be CHST, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid; 5-6 month contract, Mon-Fri, 40 hours.

• Coordinate and conduct audits of all crews to identify unsafe conditions and promote safe work practices.
• Document and communicate site audit information.
• Audit training records of all field personnel.
• Implement all federal, local, and site programs, policies, and procedures.
• Receive, review, and participate with the development of accident briefs and safety publications.
• Participate in Site-Specific Safety Plans and safety meetings.
• Review client/owner requirements for compliance.

The Safety Professional will be responsible for identifying safety hazards and communicating with site crews and management to mitigate these hazards. The successful candidate must be a team player, good communicator, and knowledgeable of Federal, State, Local, General Contractor and Owner Requirements governing the project.

Job Details

• CHST REQUIRED
• Pay Rate: $45.00 - $50.00/hour (W2)
• Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
• Anticipated Duration: 5-6 months
• Anticipated Hours/Week: Mon - Fri, 40 hours/week
• Project Type: Construction at DEN Airport

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and participate with the development of accident briefs, safety-related publications, bulletins, and reports.
• Participate with the development of Site-Specific Safety Plans and kick off/safety meetings.
• Review client/owner specific requirements and determine our client complies.

Mandatory Education & Experience

• Current CPR / First Aid Card Required
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction Required
• CHST Required
• Relevant safety experience required

Computer Skills

Ability to perform basic word processing and generate spreadsheets as necessary. Also, access and use the Internet and E-mail.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to stand, bend, squat, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see. On occasion, may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus.
