Job summary

El Paso Water is seeking a safety-focused professional to provide safety training, conduct daily worksite safety inspections, and perform audits at treatment plants. The role supports plant operations and maintenance while ensuring compliance with EPW and TCEQ requirements.

You will train staff on safety protocols, investigate incidents, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher and 4 years of risk reduction, plant operations or maintenance experience.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License or equivalent by appointment date.
• Depending on assignment, Class C Water or Wastewater Operator’s License by appointment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily visual inspections of treatment plants and machinery operation.
• Inspect gauges, meters, pumps, motors and safety equipment; ensure proper use of tools and PPE.
• Conduct safety meetings and provide training on driver safety, first aid, CPR, hearing conservation and risk management.
• Observe conditions and report deficiencies; recommend procedures to comply with EPW and TCEQ requirements.
• Plan and perform audits to confirm internal compliance and prepare regulatory reports.
