Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Three years of vehicle development experience and one year of safety development.
• Ability to guide vehicle design through virtual analysis and physical testing.
• Knowledge of domestic and global vehicle regulatory and 3rd party requirements.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Durability, Safety, NVH, Aero) on root cause and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Safety development and target setting for crash regulatory and third-party ratings.
• Own safety performance and lead attribute teams and safety clubs.
• Execute vehicle program safety requests and validate designs through testing and CAE collaboration.
• Investigate issues, determine root causes, and document resolutions; lead when multiple disciplines are involved.
• Plan and perform physical and component testing from concept through launch; travel to Chelsea Proving Grounds.
