Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking a Safety Partner to join the Nursing Resource Pool. This full-time role involves working in various units and ensuring a safe environment for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, or agitation.

The position requires a high school diploma and preferred healthcare experience, with training conducted during orientation and ongoing certifications. Candidates must complete the Sentara Safety Partner Training Course and obtain BLS within 90

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Prior healthcare experience or enrollment in health science program preferred.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• De-escalation and safety intervention training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe hospital environment for at-risk patients.
• Support patients protected from suicide, falls, wandering, agitation or self-harm.
• Collaborate with nursing and security to maintain safety across units.

This position will work in various units at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.
