Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Safety Care Partner (Part-time Nights) to support a safe hospital environment for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, or agitation. The role requires a HS Diploma and BLS within 90 days, with preferred healthcare exposure and completion of a safety training course during orientation.

Responsibilities include de-escalation, fall prevention, and maintaining patient safety, with training on restraints and stroke awareness.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior healthcare experience or enrollment in a health sciences program strongly preferred. Applicants without prior experience or current health sciences program status must complete a Sentara Safety Partner Training Course during orientation.
• Core competencies: communication, confidentiality, de-escalation, fall prevention, patient safety, restraints, stroke, and suicide. De-escalation/physical intervention training within 30 days of hire (15 for Behavioral Health).
