Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Safety Partner for full-time evenings to help maintain a safe environment for high-risk patients.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Previous healthcare experience is preferred, with training provided during orientation to ensure clinical safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred or enrollment in a health science program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe hospital environment for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, agitation, impulsiveness, self-harm or other risk behaviors.
• Respond to safety incidents and provide support to care teams to mitigate risk and enhance patient function during their stay.
• Complete Sentara Safety Partner Training and core competencies during orientation.
