Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Safety Partner for the Second (Evenings) shift in Suffolk, VA. The role focuses on providing a safe hospital environment for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering and other behaviors, enabling safer, more independent patient stays.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of Sentara Safety Partner Training. BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire; prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Overview:

Sentara Obici Hospital located in Suffolk, VA, is hiring a Safety Partner Flexi Evenings

The Safety Partner Assists with the provision of a safe hospital environment conducive to individualized patient care for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, agitation, impulsiveness, self-harm or other risk behaviors enabling patients to maintain or enhance function during the hospital stay.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Certification/Licensure

Applicants without prior experience or current health sciences program status must successfully complete a Sentara Safety Partner Training Course in addition to core competencies during orientation.

BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Experience

Previous healthcare experience or enrollment in a health sciences program (Preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $17.82 - $25.65 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
