Job summary

La Costa Glen is hiring an EMT Safety Officer in Carlsbad, CA, for full-time evenings/night shift. The role requires responding to emergencies, monitoring doors, and enforcing life-safety policies.

Must hold EMT certification, First Aid, CPR, and AED, with at least one year of EMT experience. We offer PTO, holidays, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, tuition assistance, and commuter reimbursement.

• Assists the Safety Assistant Director with random mock testing and training of staff.
• Assists with daily door monitoring checks.
• Conducts scheduled internal and external rounds.
• Maintains emergency equipment and supplies.
• Ensures compliance with policies and reports discrepancies and unsafe conditions.
• Demonstrates exemplary customer service to all customers.

The EMT Safety Officer performs daily door monitoring checks and conducts scheduled internal and external rounds. He/she is responsible for responding immediately to all emergency situations at the community and is required to demonstrate the acts and principles of exemplary customer service to all internal and external customers at all times.

• Responds immediately to all emergency situations at the community. Practices proper First Responder protocols and life safety policies and procedures.
• Assists the Safety Assistant Director with random mock testing and training of staff to ensure emergency preparedness.
• Assists the Safety Assistant Director or designated management representative with daily door monitoring checks.
• Conducts scheduled internal and external rounds.
• Maintains departmental emergency equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning,
• Ensures compliance with policies & procedures and reports all discrepancies and unsafe conditions to the Safety Manager.
• Demonstrates the acts and principles of exemplary customer service to all internal and external customers at all times. Responds to and documents customer complaints in a professional manner.
