Job summary

Occupational Safety and Health Administration seeks a Safety and Occupational Health professional to lead compliance assistance initiatives in the Philadelphia region. You will develop and maintain programs, deliver technical guidance, and help implement national OSHA policies locally.

Responsibilities include reviewing standards, communicating program information, and supporting the Voluntary Protection Program, with essential emphasis on safety leadership and regulatory compliance in public

Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate education in safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related fields with at least 24 semester hours in listed disciplines.
Experience in safety and occupational health roles may qualify at GS-5 level.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), CIH, CHP certificates also meet IOR requirements.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains the region's Compliance Assistance Plan.
Provides direct technical assistance to customers on compliance strategies.
Conducts technical reviews of proposed standards and directives and informs leadership.
Interprets and communicates OSHA programs and policies to the public and associations.
Supports implementation of the region's Voluntary Protection Program.
