The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association, Inc is seeking a Safety Supervisor to oversee environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety programs, including waste management and regulatory compliance.

The role demands six years in safety or environmental fields, a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with Operations and subcontractors.

Qualifikationen

• Six (6) years recent experience in a safety or environmental field.
• Completion of a military course or equivalent on hazardous waste management or industrial hygiene is desired.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial safety programs and OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Industrial hygiene experience and OSHA and EPA training experience preferred.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple compliance tasks.

Aufgaben

• Acts as a representative for the Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) program.
• Reviews and provide guidance for the Hazardous Materials Reduction Prioritization Process and ozone depleting substances (ODS).
• Conducts safety and environmental inspections, audits, and surveys; reviews and provide guidance for corrective actions.
• Assists in the development of environmental policies and directives; ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws.
• Conducts opportunity assessments identifying hazardous waste reduction opportunities and justifies project funding.
• Supports the ESOH Training Program; may perform classroom training.
