Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager (T&D Electrical Construction) to ensure adherence to safety policies across projects nationwide. The role partners with Operations to staff safety, audits field compliance, and drives continuous safety improvements.

Ideal candidates bring OSHA and transmission/distribution safety experience, leadership skills, and relevant CSP or safety credentials to support a strong safety culture and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• OSHA record keeping, reporting and MOP writing.
• Job hazard & safety analysis in transmission and distribution.
• Experience in transmission and distribution line construction.
• Management experience in a safety role.
• Safety-related undergraduate degree (e.g., CSP).
• OSHA 501, OTI certifications, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing safety program and coordinate staffing with Operations.
• Audit field compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company policy.
• Provide leadership and guidance to safety engineers.
• Coordinate cross-training and conduct training as necessary.
• Assist management with improving safety practices and procedures.
• Conduct inspections, surveys, and evaluations and report findings.
• Provide safety reports and studies and progress updates.
