Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Construction Safety Manager in Santa Barbara to oversee campus construction safety programs, onboarding, and field compliance across multi-trade teams. You will develop and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), conduct safety orientations, lead site inspections and audits, and coordinate with management to enforce OSHA regulations.

This 1099 contractor role offers weekly pay at $65/hr, plus a $150/month completion bonus, supporting long-term campus construction

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 or 510 certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience.
• Capability to onboard and train workers on safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for campus construction activities.
• Conduct new hire safety orientations and onboarding programs.
• Develop, review, and track Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Perform routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and construction operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Lead and attend project safety meetings.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Duration: 12 Months (Start: Immediate Need)

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $65/hr
Per Diem: None
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift | 40 Hours Per Week
Additional Schedule Details: Standard 8-hour shifts supporting long-term campus construction activities.
