Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with a nonprofit client in San Antonio to hire a Safety Manager who will lead workplace safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of safety throughout the organization.

The role emphasizes developing procedures, conducting audits, and coordinating training for staff while collaborating with leadership to sustain a safe work environment. This onsite position features a comprehensive benefits package and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in occupational safety or EHS, with program oversight.
• Experience conducting safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to develop safety procedures, coordinate training, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience maintaining compliance documentation and safety metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Evaluate workplace conditions to identify hazards and implement risk-reduction measures.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits for compliance and improvement.
• Lead incident investigations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and internal safety standards.
• Lead safety training and awareness initiatives with staff.
• Partner with leaders to communicate safety expectations and ensure consistent implementation.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, and training logs.
• Analyze incident trends to identify recurring concerns and preventative strategies.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness procedures, drills, and response protocols.
• Provide guidance on safe work practices and incident prevention.
• Support workers' compensation documentation and follow-up.
