Job summary

Unicorr Packaging Group in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Safety Manager to develop and oversee workplace safety programs, ensure OSHA compliance, and foster a strong safety culture across manufacturing facilities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in safety management in packaging/paper, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, OSHA certifications, and proven ability to lead safety initiatives, train staff, and drive continuous safety improvements. Travel between facilities is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in safety management within manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, OSHA 500) strongly desired.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation processes.
• Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs and policies.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and applicable safety laws.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety training for all staff and maintain records.
• Partner with plant leadership to drive safety improvements.
• Manage workers’ comp processes and collaborate with HR.
• Lead emergency planning and drills.
• Promote a culture of safety through communication and accountability.
• Stay updated on industry safety practices and regulatory changes.
