Shirley Parsons is assisting a leading MEP contractor in Phoenix, AZ to appoint a Safety Manager. You will oversee safety across multiple projects, lead safety personnel and drive a strong safety culture on site.

• CSP or CHST required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Based in Phoenix, AZ and willing to travel across the greater Phoenix area.

Responsibilities

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits and implement corrective actions to develop the safety program.
• Highlight safety metrics/trends with Regional Safety Director and report to senior leadership.
• Conduct new hire orientation and implement OSHA-compliant training programs.
• Engage with operations leadership, job-site teams, GC and client on safety matters, acting as technical safety expert.

A leading MEP contractor is looking to appoint a Safety Manager in Phoenix, AZ. You will be responsible for overseeing safety across several projects in the region, leading safety personnel, to ensure a strong safety culture and performance amongst the job-site teams. The Role:

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits as deemed necessary - putting forward corrective actions to continually develop the safety program and culture
• Work in partnership with the Regional Safety Director in highlighting key safety metrics/trends on projects, which will be reported back to senior leadership
• Conduct new hire-orientation and implement training programs in compliance with all OSHA requirements
• Engage with all operational leadership, job-site teams, GC and the client in regards to safety related matters - acting as the technical expert for any issues that may arise

The Candidate:

• A minimum of 8-10 years proven experience managing safety on major construction projects. MEP experience highly desired.
• CSP or CHST (Required)
• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or other related discipline (preferred)
• A strong communicator who can engage with both key internal and external stakeholders
• Based in Phoenix, AZ and happy to travel to projects across the greater Phoenix area
