Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct job site inspections, accident investigations and audits with corrective actions.
• Partner with VP of Safety and regional leaders to highlight safety metrics and trends.
• Lead and mentor a regional safety team across multiple projects.
• Conduct new hire orientation and implement OSHA-compliant training programs.
• Engage with operations leadership, job-site teams, GC and client on safety matters as SME.

-This role will require a daily presence at the job-sites in Ohio and is only looking for local candidates.

A leading MEP contractor is looking to hire a Safety Director to support active projects near Millersport, OH and the surrounding Ohio region. You will be responsible for leading the safety program at a regional level to ensure a leading safety culture across regional projects. The Role:

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits as deemed necessary - putting forward corrective actions to continually develop the safety program and culture
• Work in partnership with the VP of Safety and Regional Operating Leaders in highlighting key safety metrics/trends on the jobsite, which will be reported back to senior leadership
• Lead and mentor a team of regional safety professionals working across different projects in the region
• Conduct new hire-orientation and implement training programs in compliance with all OSHA requirements
• Engage with all operational leadership, job-site teams, general contractor and the client in regards to safety related matters - acting as the SME for any issues that may arise

The Candidate:

• A minimum of 10 years proven experience managing safety on major data center or MEP construction projects
• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Quality or related discipline (preferred)
• A strong communicator who can engage with both key internal and external stakeholders
• Based near Millersport, OH and happy to travel to the job-site daily
