Job summary

Kiewit is hiring a Safety Manager for our Northwest District in Honolulu, HI. You will lead on-site safety programs, drive a safety-first culture, and ensure regulatory compliance. Relocation and travel to project sites on the West Coast region may be involved.

The role requires a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field and 3+ years of heavy civil construction safety experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• 3+ years of experience managing construction safety programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazard recognition.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Managing the company environmental health and safety programs at the project level, driving a safety-oriented approach to work.
• Analyzing occupational illness and accident data to recommend safety improvements.
• Inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Monitoring workforce for unsafe behaviors and coaching employees accordingly.
• Developing EHS training materials and manuals.
• Tracking training records and coordinating with outside consultants.
