Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Construction Safety Manager in Haskell, TX for a 2+ month, 1099 contractor role. You will provide hands-on safety leadership for structural steel erection, crane and rigging operations, and elevated work on a data center project.

The position emphasizes field presence with ironworkers, daily safety oversight, and strict OSHA Subpart R compliance.

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification is required.
  • BCSP credential (CHST, ASP, CSP, STSC, or equivalent) is required.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily safety activities for structural steel erection operations.
  • Maintain a highly visible field presence alongside ironworkers and project supervision.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor structural steel erection, framing, and miscellaneous steel installation.
  • Oversee field bolting, welding, and structural connection activities.
  • Support crane operations, rigging, hoisting, and material placement.
  • Verify proper alignment, plumbing, leveling, and temporary stabilization of structural steel members.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, OSHA Subpart R, and project safety requirements.
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), lift plans, permits, and pre-task plans.
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records.
  • Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the project.

Education

OSHA 30 Construction Certification

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Haskell, TX

Duration: 2+ Months (Start: 8/17)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $63/hr

Per Diem: Lodging Provided + 3 Meals Per Day

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: 1st Shift | 56 Hours Per Week

Monday-Saturday | (4) 10-Hour Days & (2) 8-Hour Days

Required Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • BCSP Credential (CHST, ASP, CSP, STSC, or equivalent)
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
  • Structural steel safety oversight experience
  • Ironworker or structural steel field experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data center construction experience
