Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing in West Memphis, AR seeks a Construction Safety Manager for a 4+ month contract starting 8/11. The 1099 role supports a large data center steel project, offering field visibility and hands-on safety leadership.

You will oversee safety for structural steel operations, conduct inspections, monitor crane and rigging activities, and drive incident investigations, training, and documentation to protect workers and ensure progress.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• OSHA 500 or 510 Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for structural steel construction operations.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Monitor steel erection, bridging, and ironworker activities.
• Support and enforce fall protection programs and elevated work procedures.
• Monitor crane operations, rigging activities, and material handling processes.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and lift plans.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Partner with project supervision to mitigate hazards and promote safety culture.

Construction Safety Manager

Location: West Memphis, AR

Duration: 4+ Months (Start: 8/11)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $60/hr (Local) | $52/hr (Non-Local)

Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Day Shift 6-7 Days a week (60-70 Hours)

Required Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification
• OSHA 500 or 510 Certification
• 5+ years of construction safety experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center construction experience
• Structural steel safety oversight experience
• Experience reviewing lift plans and critical lifts
• Experience supporting large commercial or industrial construction projects
• CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
