Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a fully integrated AEC firm in the Chicagoland area. This role leads safety programs from design through construction, ensuring OSHA compliance and risk mitigation across projects with no travel.

You will champion safety initiatives, conduct site inspections, train staff on fall protection and scaffolding, and serve as the primary liaison with regulators and insurers. The salary ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience in commercial settings.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• Proficiency with safety management software and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve company-wide construction safety programs.
• Collaborate with project teams to create site-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses with corrective actions.
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Monitor safety metrics and report trends to senior leadership.
• Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
• Provide safety orientations and training on fall protection and scaffolding.
