Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety on a live data center construction project in Houston. You will partner with operations and field teams to ensure safe work practices are implemented and maintained.

You will develop personnel, drive compliance, and foster a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility through training, audits, and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 Certification (required).
• OSHA 510 Certification (required).
• Experience supporting mechanical construction operations including HVAC, plumbing, piping, or related systems.
• Heavy commercial construction and/or industrial construction experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and training abilities.
• Proven ability to mentor field personnel and develop safety awareness throughout an organization.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead project safety programs and initiatives from planning through execution.
• Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for field personnel and supervisors.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and compliance training.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and company policies.
• Partner with project teams to identify risks and implement proactive solutions.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Promote employee engagement and accountability related to safety performance.
