Job summary

gpac in the Atlanta area seeks a Director of Safety to lead the safety program across projects and build a strong safety culture. You will ensure OSHA compliance and collaborate with project teams and field personnel to maintain a safe, productive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in construction safety, OSHA 500/510 certifications, and proven leadership. Travel to project sites throughout the Atlanta area is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 certifications required.
• Experience with site inspections, training, and incident investigations.

Director of Safety

A well-established general contractor in the Atlanta area is seeking an experienced Director of Safety to lead and oversee the company's safety program across its projects.

This is a key leadership position for a safety professional who can build a strong safety culture, ensure OSHA compliance, and work closely with project teams and field personnel to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the company-wide safety program
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and training
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
• Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to identify and address safety concerns
• Investigate incidents and develop corrective action plans
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for field personnel
• Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and compliance records
• Stay current on OSHA regulations and industry best practices
• Help promote a proactive, company-wide culture of safety

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction safety experience
• Experience with a general contractor preferred
• OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 certifications required
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
• Experience conducting site inspections, training, and incident investigations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with both field and leadership teams
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout the Atlanta area
