Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking a Safety Manager to own the safety vision and drive improvements protecting guests and staff. You will lead regulatory compliance, coordinate OSHA training, and oversee fire safety programs and incident investigations.

You will partner with operations and risk management to reduce incidents, maintain OSHA records, and ensure adherence to NFPA and safety codes across the property.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of experience in fire/safety, risk, OSHA and related regulations are required.
• Working knowledge of fire and safety codes, state, county, and federal laws preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct implement and manage regulatory and Safety Compliance according to Corporate Safety Audit Program.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and ensure OSHA-mandated training for employees.
• Review testing and maintenance of fire safety equipment, including extinguishers.

**THE JOB:**As Safety Manager, you'll take ownership of the property's safety vision, leading initiatives that protect our people, guests, and operations. You'll influence leaders, drive strategic safety improvements, and turn challenges into opportunities to create a safer, stronger, and more resilient organization.**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Direct implement and manage regulatory and Safety Compliance according to the Corporate Safety Audit Program. Evaluates training effectiveness, tracks training compliance, and ensures all employees receive required OSHA-mandated safety training.* Review appropriate testing and maintenance of all fire safety equipment including fire extinguishers.* Serve as liaison to Corporate Security Center of Excellence, regulatory agencies and other third parties relative to safety programs.* Administer property safety committee meetings per regulatory guidelines.* Administers property observations to identify property occupational safety, Job Hazards Assessments (JHA)and health hazards. Ensures property compliance of all safety violations. Maintain OSHA records/logs and work closely with OSHA and Fire Department on safety inspections of the property.* Applies Incident Command Structure when dealing with emergences.* Collaborate with Risk Management and Worker's Compensation on team member injuries and incidents. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans.
