Job summary

Sheakley in Southaven, MS is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 6-month contract to oversee electrical construction safety activities on a SpaceX project. The role involves daily field oversight, safety documentation, and coordination with contractors and project supervision.

The candidate will lead toolbox talks, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards while maintaining safety across 12-hour shifts and 50–60 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• CHST or CUSP Certification.
• Minimum 5 Years Of Construction Safety Experience.
• Experience Supporting Electrical Construction Activities.
• Strong Knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards.
• Experience Conducting Field Audits and Inspections.
• Experience Leading Toolbox Talks and Safety Meetings.
• Strong Communication and Contractor Management Skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for cable installation and transformer termination activities.
• Maintain and manage safety documentation including JHAs, PTPs, and Toolbox Talks.
• Participate in routine site walks and field observations.
• Support subcontractors and project supervision with safety compliance efforts.
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions.
• Respond to incidents and assist with investigations.
• Monitor commissioning and startup activities.
• Support SmartRun assembly operations and associated safety requirements.
• Monitor break-work-fix activities and related hazards.
• Support flush and fill operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and project safety requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Day Shift Pay Rate: $55/hr

Night Shift Pay Rate: $57/hr

Per Diem: $125/day (7 Days Per Week)

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts (Day & Night Coverage)

Hours: 50-60 Hours Per Week
