Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Safety Coordinator for a 6-month contract on a data center development project. You will provide daily field safety oversight for civil construction activities including demolition, trenching, and utility installation.

The role requires OSHA 500/510, CPR/First Aid, and at least 5 years of construction safety experience, with a strong focus on on-site leadership and hazard mitigation.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 Certification required.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience supporting civil construction projects preferred.
• Experience with excavation, trenching, and utility installation activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for civil construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence in active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, utility installation, and demolition operations.
• Review JHAs, permits, and pre-task plans to ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching to craft personnel on safe work practices.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and regulatory reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the project.

Safety Coordinator

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 6 Months (Early/Mid September Start)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $56/hr
Overtime: Yes
Per Diem: Locals Only
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday/Saturday as Needed | First Shift | 50-60 Hours Per Week
Additional Schedule Details: Anticipated start during the week of September 7 or September 14. Interviews are being scheduled immediately.
