Qualifications

  • 2+ years in safety/industrial health, preferably in manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve safety programs in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Compile and analyze data to build metrics, track trends, and justify improvements with cost‑benefit analysis.

Location: Upper Peninsula, Michigan (on-site)—outdoors, lakes, trails, and a true work/life reset

What you’ll own
  • Lead and continuously improve the plant’s Safety & Industrial Health programs in a manufacturing setting
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local safety, industrial hygiene, and fire prevention regulations
  • Drive core safety disciplines like:
    • LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)
    • Confined Space
    • Air quality / Industrial hygiene monitoring
    • Dust / Combustible dust risk awareness and controls
  • Maintain and strengthen safety policies, procedures, and fire prevention programs
  • Coach supervisors and teams using proven management techniques to build accountability and consistency
  • Compile and analyze data to build metrics, track trends, and justify improvements with cost‑benefit analysis
  • Support audits, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
