Job summary

Tallon Industrial Services is seeking a Safety Manager to cultivate a safety-first culture where leaders model safe behavior and processes are continuously improved. The role will own depot environmental compliance and the accident investigation process, ensuring site-specific safety paperwork is thorough and up-to-date.

You will coach supervisors and frontline employees on critical safety behaviors, maintain the training register, and manage in-house training with 3rd party trainers, while

Responsibilities

• Create, review and/or adjust safety processes
• Create, review and/or adjust site safety audits
• Coach supervisors and frontline employees on key safety behaviors
• Hold staff accountable for following safety guidelines & coach supervisors to do the same
• Own depot environmental compliance
• Own the accident investigation process
• Own site specific safety paperwork
• Maintain the training register
• Take ownership of in-house training and manage 3rd party trainers
• Manage all aspects of DOT compliance for the fleet

The role of the Safety Manager is to create a safety culture where leaders lead by example, safety processes are optimized and followed but most importantly everyone views safety as benefit to them.
