Job summary

Marcal Paper in Lewistown, PA is seeking a Safety Manager for our on-site manufacturing facility. This full-time, salaried position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proven experience in a safety management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and workers' compensation laws.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional EHS-related certifications are a plus.
• Excellent report-writing skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis and interpret safety-related data.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train and develop employees on safety protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively across all departments while maintaining a strong focus on safety initiatives and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and drive a proactive safety culture across the plant.
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure OSHA compliance and incident prevention.
• Conduct root cause analyses on incidents and interpret safety data for improvements.
• Train and mentor staff on safety protocols and best practices.
