Job summary

JBS Foods seeks a Safety Manager to lead the safety and health functions at the facility in Colorado. You will ensure compliance with safety laws, investigate incidents, and maintain up-to-date policies and processes.

The role includes coordinating training and reviewing safety programs and equipment plans. You will analyze safety data, supervise the Safety and Health Department staff, and ensure a safe workplace for all team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing environment, beef industry desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility compliance with safety laws and regulations.

Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is in compliance with safety laws and regulations.
• Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
• Review employee safety programs to determine their adequacy.
• Review plans and specifications for construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.
• Manage and develop all the employees in the Safety and Health Department.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of relevant local, state, or national policies and procedures to promote effective strategies for the safety of employees.
• Bachelor Degree in a related field preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Work in a fast pace environment where beef are processed.
• Able to work at least 50+ hours a week

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
• Experience in manufacturing environment, specifically the beef industry desired.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
• Base salary range of $107,213 - $135,009/yr
• This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
