Role Description

Vantage Trades Group is seeking an experienced Safety Professional / Safety Manager for a long-term data center construction project in Atlanta, Georgia.

This is a full-time, on-site contract position for an experienced construction safety professional capable of working independently and effectively with project leadership, supervision, subcontractors, and craft personnel.

Key responsibilities include conducting field safety inspections and audits, identifying and correcting hazards, monitoring compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements, reviewing JHAs/JSAs, supporting safety meetings and training, investigating incidents, maintaining required documentation, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the project.

Candidates must live within commuting distance of Atlanta or be willing to relocate or commute to the project.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of construction safety experience
Active BCSP credential required — ASP, CSP, CHST, or other applicable BCSP certification
Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
Experience conducting jobsite inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
Strong knowledge of JHAs/JSAs, incident investigation, corrective actions, and safety documentation
Ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety expectations with field personnel and management
Strong written communication and reporting skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment
Data center, mission-critical, large commercial, or industrial construction experience is highly desirable
OSHA 30 Construction required
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
