Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 1-year engagement at the Toyota Manufacturing Facility in Georgetown, KY. The role is a 1099 contractor position with pay of $59/hr, plus $140/day per diem and a $150/month completion bonus, paid weekly.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety leadership for the General Contractor and all subcontractors on site
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and general construction activities
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Toyota requirements, and project-specific safety standards
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel and subcontractors
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, contractors, and owner representatives
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project

• Pay Frequency: Weekly
• Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift | 40-60 Hours Per Week
• Additional Schedule Details: Hours may increase as project activity ramps up and construction milestones are reached.
