Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a hands-on Safety Manager for a 2-week assignment in Davenport, FL. This 1099 contractor role focuses on field safety oversight for electrical conduit and conveyor installation within an active distribution facility.

Schedule is Mon-Sat, 12:00 PM–10:00 PM, 60 hours weekly with night-shift details and per diem available. Completion bonus, weekly pay, and travel considerations apply as part of the term.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety with 3+ years of experience.
• CSP or CHST with 5+ years of experience.
• OSHA 510 with 7+ years of experience.
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Own laptop or tablet required.
• Must have at least 3 LOTO locks/tags.
• Experience supporting electrical construction activities.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for electrical conduit installation activities.
• Monitor conveyor system installation operations.
• Ensure proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed.
• Verify barrier placement and hazard communication practices.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and site supervision.
• Maintain required documentation and safety records.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Local Pay Rate: $60/hr

Traveler Pay Rate: $55/hr
