The role requires OSHA 30 and 5+ years of construction safety experience, with evening/2nd shift hours and a 40‑hour workweek. This 1099 contract supports ongoing airport expansion and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for airport construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor construction activities, equipment operations, and contractor work areas.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and pre‑task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project‑specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $56/hr
• Overtime: Not Anticipated
• Per Diem: None
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay Frequency: Weekly
• Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week | Monday-Friday | 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (2nd Shift)
• Additional Schedule Details: Evening shift supporting active airport construction operations.
