Job summary

JGM is seeking a Safety Supervisor for an airport construction project in Chicago, IL, to oversee daily field safety inspections and enforce site safety standards.

Duties include toolbox talks, JHA execution, PPE compliance, incident investigations, and coordinating with field supervision to support airport operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction safety experience, OSHA 30 required with OSHA 500 preferred, and strong organizational/communication skills.

Safety Supervisor

Project Duration: October 1, 2026 – August 31, 2028

Position Summary

• Coordinate with field supervision to resolve safety concerns promptly.
• Promote a positive safety culture across all work activities.

General Working Conditions

• Work is performed in active airport construction environments and operational facilities.
• May require working nights, weekends, holidays, or extended hours to support airport operational requirements.
• Must comply with all airport security requirements and successfully obtain and maintain required security clearances and badging.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and around active construction operations.
• Travel within the project site is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk extensive construction sites daily.
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work areas.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in active construction environments for extended periods.
