Job summary

A family-owned manufacturing company is seeking a Safety Manager to build safety policies from the ground up. Responsibilities include improving EHS management systems and ensuring regulatory compliance. Candidates should have over 5 years in manufacturing EHS and be OSHA 30 certified. This is a fully on-site position in Carol Stream, IL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing EHS.
• OSHA 30 certified.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15% to different sites.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve the EHS management system at the facility.
• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety and environmental regulations.
• Provide overall EH&S leadership, mentoring and direction.

Director of Recruitment and Business Development

A family-owned manufacturing company near Carol Stream is looking for a Safety Manager to join their team. This organization has been around for over 40 years and has never had a position like this before. The person they hire will be able to come in and build out safety policy and procedures from the ground up with the support of the HR Manager. They will work alongside their various other branches to help implement these new policies as well as report findings and strategies to the CFO. Please read below for more details!

Responsibilities:

• Continuously improve the EHS management system at the facility
• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety and environmental regulations
• Provide overall EH&S leadership, mentoring and direction to plant and management team members to ensure employee health and the environment are protected
• Manage OSHA actions such as inspections, letters of noncompliance, informal conferences, etc.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing EHS
• OSHA 30 certified
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 15% to different sites

*This is a fully on-site position. Candidates from out of state will NOT be considered for this position.*
