The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is offering a Safety Division internship on projects in Dallas, TX, Austin, TX, and Oklahoma City, OK. The program runs for a minimum of 12 weeks and may provide relocation living allowances.

The Intern will work with on-site safety staff to learn Walsh safety programs, gain hands-on field experience, and potentially transition to full-time roles after graduation. Travel across the U.S. is possible through divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 12-week work schedule preferred
• Relocation may be required with a living allowance

Responsibilities

• Support on-site safety manager and staff to promote Walsh Safety Programs
• Participate in field safety walks and safety orientations for new employees
• Complete accident and incident reports
• Oversee safety and health of personnel on jobsites
• Coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors to ensure policy compliance

Overview

Walsh is currently seeking Interns for our Safety Division on projects located in Dallas, TX, Austin, TX, and Oklahoma City, OK.

Our internship program will prepare you for leadership positions both on and off the jobsite. Our program allows you to travel across the United States and through operational divisions to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. We carefully match you with positions related to your academic and career goals, setting you up for the right career path after graduation.

Responsibilities

The Safety Intern will support and work with the on-site safety manager and safety staff to promote and manage Walsh Safety Programs. The Safety Intern position will be for a minimum of 12 weeks. The Safety Intern will learn about multiple career paths in our company and will be trained to become a full-time employee after college graduation. Some duties and responsibilities include:

• Participate in field safety walks
• Help safety manager with first day safety orientations for new employees
• Complete accident and incident reports
• Oversee safety and health of personnel working on company jobsites
• Help safety manager coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors, ensuring company safety policies and procedures are understood and implemented

Qualifications

• Seeking a bachelor’s degree is preferred
• The ability to work a 12-week work schedule is preferred
• Specific roles may require relocation. If you are willing to relocate you are eligible for a living allowance.
