Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. seeks Safety Interns to join our Safety Division on projects around the Atlanta Metropolitan area. The program prepares you for leadership roles on and off the jobsite, with opportunities to travel across the United States and rotate through multiple divisions.

A path to full-time employment after graduation is possible through hands-on experience and mentorship. You will support the on-site safety team, participate in safety walks, assist with orientations, and help

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-week schedule preferred.
• Relocation may be required; if willing to relocate you are eligible for a living allowance.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site safety manager and safety staff to promote and manage Walsh Safety Programs.
• Learn about multiple career paths and potential to become a full-time employee after graduation.
• Participate in field safety walks.
• Assist with first day safety orientations for new employees.
• Complete accident and incident reports.
• Oversee safety and health of personnel on jobsites.
• Coordinate safety programs with subcontractors to ensure policy compliance.

Overview

Walsh is currently seeking Interns for our Safety Division on projects located in around the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Our internship program will prepare you for leadership positions both on and off the jobsite. Our program allows you to travel across the United States and through operational divisions to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. We carefully match you with positions related to your academic and career goals, setting you up for the right career path after graduation.

Responsibilities

The Safety Intern will support and work with the on-site safety manager and safety staff to promote and manage Walsh Safety Programs. The Safety Intern position will be for a minimum of 12 weeks. The Safety Intern will learn about multiple career paths in our company and will be trained to become a full-time employee after college graduation.

Some duties and responsibilities include:

• Participate in field safety walks
• Help safety manager with first day safety orientations for new employees
• Complete accident and incident reports
• Oversee safety and health of personnel working on company jobsites
• Help safety manager coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors, ensuring company safety policies and procedures are understood and implemented

Qualifications

• Seeking a bachelor's degree is preferred
• The ability to work a 12-week work schedule is preferred
• Specific roles may require relocation. If you are willing to relocate you are eligible for a living allowance.
