Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Safety Intern to apply academic knowledge in a real-world setting under supervision of District/Project Safety Managers. You will assist with the company safety program, learn about construction activities, scheduling, risk assessments, planning, and implement corrective measures as necessary.

Responsibilities include reporting orientations, training, audits, incident documentation, and coordinating safety events.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Health & Safety or a similar program at an accredited technical college or university.

Responsibilities

• Reporting and tracking orientations, trainings, audits, incident reports, and other related documents.
• Assists in reporting incidents/accidents, investigations, root cause analysis and submitting reports.
• Liaising with safety personnel for investigations, medical and other reports.
• Order safety supplies as required.
• Coordinate safety events as directed by the District Safety Manager or Project Safety Manager.
• Prepare responses to routine inquiries.
• Understand invoicing, reports, memos, letters and financial statements using MS Office.
• Support staff on project-based work.
• Maintain knowledge of FlatironDragados' values and strategic plan.
• Support published corporate policies.
• Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.
• Demonstrate results orientation, initiative, teamwork and integrity.
