Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is offering a Safety Summer Intern position. You will support site safety audits, help develop and deliver training, and participate in incident investigations while promoting a safety-first culture.

The role is at an industrial site with exposure to outdoor conditions, PPE provided, and collaborative work with multiple teams. Open to rising juniors or seniors pursuing relevant safety/environmental degrees.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Rising Junior or Senior
• Strong attention to detail and safety focus
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and in teams

What Are We Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field. Rising Junior or Senior.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety excellence.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in team settings.
• Interest in applying safety principles in an industrial environment.

Work Environment

This internship includes both office and field work at an industrial site. Interns will be exposed to outdoor conditions, operational equipment, and varying weather. Safety is a core value, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required.
