Job summary

WEC Energy Group is seeking a Safety and Industrial Hygiene Intern for our Plover, Wisconsin location. This full-time summer internship offers practical exposure to safety and health programs across electric and gas operations.

You will assist in industrial hygiene exposure monitoring, safety audits, training materials, and development of procedures. The role supports facility teams and provides hands-on experience in risk reduction and compliance within a Fortune 500 energy company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Public Health, or related degree with a graduation date after July 2027.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Safety & Health initiatives.
• Assist in industrial hygiene exposure monitoring to determine employee exposures.
• Audit safety & health performance through observation and inquiry.
• Identify improvement opportunities and inform facility management of issues and solutions.
• Provide safety & health training programs and materials.

Education
