Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Safety and Health Leader for our Forney, TX site to drive safety initiatives in a high-volume distribution center. You will lead training, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory coordination to protect employees in forklift and material-handling areas.

Experience in OSHA compliance, safety program development, and incident analysis is required. This onsite role emphasizes hands-on leadership, collaboration with operations, and continuous improvement in safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of safety management experience in a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, forklift safety standards, and incident investigation protocols.
• Proven experience developing and delivering safety training programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and coach across all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Candidates on certain visas may not be eligible for hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures aligned with OSHA standards.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the facility, including forklift zones.
• Lead safety training programs for all employees; manage new-hire orientation and certifications.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; prepare reports and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to ensure safe work practices and ergonomic improvements.
• Maintain safety records, training logs, and compliance documentation.
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies and internal safety committees.
• Promote safety culture through engagement, recognition, and continuous education.
• Manage PPE inventory, signage, and safety equipment; support other duties to enhance safety and operations.
