Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Safety & Health Coordinator in Owatonna, Minnesota, to perform health and safety inspections and support sustainability efforts. The role supports both shifts with hours 11 AM–7 PM, Monday–Friday, flexing to additional swing shifts as needed. You will engage with the workforce and help develop safety plans.

The position emphasizes training, program management, and coordination of LOTO, hearing conservation, and PPE programs in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• OSHA 10 or 30 training preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site planning, developing, and organizing strategic safety plans.
• Assist in coordinating local safety activities, such as safety champion training, program management, lockout/tagout and machine guarding.
• Conduct health and safety training.
• Coordinate safety shoe program and hearing conservation program.
• Conduct job safety and hazard analyses of manufacturing equipment.

Quanex is looking for a Safety & Health Coordinator to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota.

In this role you are responsible for completing health and safety inspections of the facility, interacting with the workforce and assist with Health, Safety, and Sustainability work and projects at the facility.

This position supports both shifts so the hours for this role will be 11 AM - 7 PM Monday - Friday with ability to flex to swing shifts such as 1 PM to 9 PM as needed.
