The Safety, Health, & Environmental Technician will provide support facilitating the reduction of occupational risk by the implementation of procedures and engineering processes aligned with the Global McCormick Health & Safety policy. This person will be dedicated to ensuring safe practices, obtaining injury reduction, implementing proactive safety processes, increasing safety awareness, and developing and maintaining robust safety training programs.
The role would report to the SHE Manager and support job duties and tasks that cover Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability
Technical resource, ensuring safe practices, injury/illness preventionprocesses, risk management by conducting risk assessments, and job safety analyses on plant equipment.
Facilitate compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements, application of McCormick Health and Safety policies and procedures,establishment of best practices for the plant/facility.
Develop and direct the SHE Pillar and Safety Functional Leader program in a manner that ensures Injury/Incident review boards, leading action plans, training, and root cause analysis are conducted appropriately.
Analyze incident data to identify trends in injuries, illnesses, accidents, or other hazards.
Review and create job aids, one-point lessons and standard operating procedures.
Conduct relevant training depending on site specific needs
