Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of progressive warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience.
• Experience supervising or leading warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, inventory management, and material handling activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational leader for daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory control, order fulfillment, packing, shipping, and quality control activities, and elevate issues to the Warehouse Manager as necessary.
• Plan, assign, coordinate, and adjust daily work activities and labor resources to meet service levels, productivity goals, customer requirements, and changing operational priorities.
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing warehouse team through coaching, training, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support employee accountability and development by providing performance feedback, documenting performance concerns, and participating in corrective action processes in partnership with the Warehouse Manager.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assist with inventory management activities including cycle counting, discrepancy investigations, inventory troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Accounting teams to resolve operational issues and support company objectives.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager in developing, documenting, implementing, and training standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Act as backup to warehouse operations and perform warehouse duties when additional labor is needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.
